So, you yearn for better things in life—perhaps a more fulfilling job, a healthier relationship, or a fitter body. You've made attempts over and over, but you find yourself in a cycle, not venturing far from where you began. Remember, change is not only possible; it's well within your reach, waiting for you to seize it. You can transform your life, and it's time to believe in that potential.
You have read the books, listened to audio, and possibly watched motivational media, but nothing seems to stick.
So, maybe there is something wrong with you, or you might think this is how it is for me. You may have wondered if it was my childhood, low self-esteem, or the dreaded laziness.
Well, my friend, there's nothing wrong; you may have overlooked a key ingredient.
Do you really believe that you have that option? Are those options available to you? The good news is there are always options available to us, even if they're only apparent after a while. It's about shifting your perspective and opening yourself up to new possibilities.
These two questions can be a game changer. Would it matter how much motivational material was thrown at you to convince you to fly without anything but yourself? We can both agree that the answer is no because you could never accept that unaided flying is an option.
Our incredible brains have been designed to protect us and keep us safe. But sometimes, like an overprotective parent, they will try to protect us from any experience that would cause us harm or discomfort.
The projected fear could be as simple as discouraging you from riding your bike. The world is scary and terrible, so stay inside where it's safe, and don't try anything new.
You can see that for us to venture out, we must make a conscious effort to overcome our natural self-preservational instincts.
However, why would you make any effort towards a destination if you don't believe it's available to you?
From this point, we will start. If I were to ask you about a country you had never visited, could you tell me about being in that country? Watching videos and being given a detailed description would pale in comparison to having visited.
Or., how about the email from the Prince in Nigeria who wants to send you one million dollars, but first, you have to send one thousand dollars for the paperwork?
No one tries anything they do not believe is an available option.
So, how do you fight against not feeling something is for you? First, ask yourself why you don't think it's for you.
Do you believe you are too young, old, not smart enough, or need more money? But seriously, how do you know if you have yet to try? No one knows what the future holds. No, not even the $4.99 a-minute online physics.
But one thing is for sure: You will never succeed in anything you don't try. The universe has a strange way of opening doors to our success as long as we never quit or lose faith in ourselves.
You must do it before you feel like doing it. In fact, most often, the things you don't want to do are what you need to do the most.
As an avid weightlifter, I often see people with naturally large, strong legs neglect their upper body because it requires more effort.
The point is that you must find information to support the idea that "this can be for me." Biographies are helpful, but don't compare yourself. And never share your dreams and aspirations with others because they are your dream, calling, and desire.
Don't let fear be your master. You must take steps toward your desires. Something as simple as looking up some information. Or, reading a book to help you towards your goals can eventually lead to excellent results.
Never sell yourself short. Conditioning yourself to understand that an option is indeed available to you can be the most incredible inner fire and fuel to propel you to unimaginable heights.
Live life to the fullest, not in fear and regret.
See you on the mountaintop.
Let's be great together.
