Episode Transcript
Oh Yeah! Welcome to another great day in the life of! If You can stand up! Shake off that mental rust! Shout out, "I am Ready!" Even if you don't feel it. Fake it till you make it if you can't stand up. Sit up straight, chin up, shoulders back, chest out.
Your mind will respond to how your body is positioned. I'm going to introduce you to the two "Power" stances. Stand up in a wide-leg stance with your feet one and a half shoulder-width apart. Put your hands on your hips. Chin up, chest out, and shoulders back. The second pose is the same, except your arms are up in the air, and your body is in an X-shape.
This pose looks familiar, right? Yes, it is the Superman or Superhero pose. Little did you know there is a physiological reason Marvel selected this pose.
Anytime you feel down or depressed, stand in the pose for five to ten minutes. As you wake up, tell yourself how grateful you are for the incredible day you will have. Then get out of bed and get in your "Super Hero" pose. And throw your head back and give a loud hearty laugh.
You will feel completely different.
And after a few days, you will be amazed at how you think and the difference in your days.
Stay in the now. Don't think about anything wrong that has happened or that might occur in the future. Because you cannot do anything about yesterday, your excellent actions, attitude, and strategies of today will allow you to create better tomorrows.
You remember this is Your mind, your body, and your life. You didn't come here to make excuses or have pity parties; you came to be happy, healthy, and prosperous.
Prosperity doesn't have to mean money, cars, and material things. That may be a part of it. But plenty of people have those things, but their mindset keeps them from enjoying and being grateful for what they have.
So, one of the first things we all need to do is find our "Why." Because if you don't see your why, whatever you achieve will bring you nothing but unhappiness, despair, and feelings of want. It will be like sacrificing and saving for a vacation to Paris when all you ever wanted was to go to Mauii.
Quickly write down fifty things you want if everything is possible. Now carefully look at those things and group them into five categories.
The categories might be serving someone or serving your community, financial security, freedom, or autonomy. Please don't cheat, and follow what I have said. Look at your fifty desires. And make your five custom categories.
Once you have your five categories, these will be your starting points.
You will then perform the seven levels of why on each. What are the seven levels of "why," Paul? I am going to explain.
Let's say you wanted a Lamborghini. Then you ask why. Your answer may be so I can attract a mate. Again ask why. Your answer may be because it would make my life happier. Okay, by now, you know the drill. Then the answer is that I want someone to share my life with. By the time you get to the fifth "why," you will find a revealing revelation.
The seventh why will be the micro of the original "why."
It might be because you don't feel complete without someone who won't abandon you.
Now imagine if you were stuck with the Lamborghini approach. You could end up with a materialistic person who would leave you for the highest bidder. And you would be devastated because you wanted a dependable, loyal, lifelong partner.
I know you can see the power of the seven "why's." You should do something other than this exercise during this episode. You can come back to it later as I am going to continue. Hopefully, that's okay with you.
Now you have your boiled-down versions of your five desires. Now we can get started on the "good stuff." Please take your time on the exercise because the authenticity of the foundation enables the personal compatibility of the life structure, which is the whole point of your efforts.
Paris might be lovely, but it's an unrewarding enterprise if Mauii is your dream destination.
Now it's time to make your life inventory. This inventory must the thorough, concise, and realistic.
The life inventory procedure consists of self, reality, resources, and time.
You may have to do extensive research to gain the competencies others have successfully used to get where you want to go. If you already have them put a checkmark next to that. If you don't have the appropriate skills, GET THEM.
Secondly, "keep it real." If you aim to lift ten thousand pounds with your pinky finger, FORGET IT. Lol, even the superhero pose won't help with that one.
Next is resources. Now this is a little tricky. You may need more supplies. And you might want to quit or have a pity party—time to wear your big-girl or big-boy clothes. Resourcefulness is the breakfast of champions, so you might as well get used to it immediately.
I promise you where there is a burning desire; you will find a way.
Next is time. I will quote one of my coaches and mentor, the Famous Tony Robbins. "Don't overestimate what you can do in a year, but don't underestimate what you can do in five or ten years."
Time will depend on the venture, development, maturity restraints, and your tenacity and commitment.
Can you feel it? Can you taste it? Are you excited Yet? It would be best to be all three because you are in the first phase of incredible success.
We will ensure you have the fuel to send this successful rocket to the stars in the next episode.
Keep Practicing your superhero pose.
Remember, "Nothing to it, but to Do It."
